Went down to the National Trust property Á La Ronde near Exmouth in Devon today. Not many there due to the heat, but well worth a visit if you’re in the area. An amazing collection of shells large and small adorn many interior walls. Plenty of shady nooks to sit around the garden too! 🐚

Bought some new trousers today. Rather pleased with them if I’m honest, although I realise the design is a bit ‘Marmite’! 👖

Meanwhile, the camper’s been remodelled (again), and trying to tick almost all boxes in a minimal space, there’s now room for a full sized motorbike between two expanding beds. After arrival and unloading, we’ll extend the bed settees, and have a nice mug of Chai, before a decent zoom around! 🏍️

Won’t be long and I’ll be firming up a trip for summer 2027! Garden trials have already started with a little Spanish trailer tent recently found. It’s basically a double bed on wheels with a pram-like canopy that opens on one side. The planning of a journey is very much part of the excitement! 🌞

I’m in the middle of a major Spring cleaning operation. Having completely blitzed sheds, I’ve now come to the big garage… It’s one of those jobs that you really don’t want to do, but the end result is so satisfying that you can’t understand why you hadn’t done it. Today, it’ll be camping gear… ⛺️

🥕 As joint head gardener here at Ford Manor, it’s lovely to have a sunny day to tidy the hedges up. Of course, I’ll have to repeat the process in three months as nature has her way, but it’s worth the effort. Traditional roast later, with home grown veg. It doesn’t get much better than that! 👨🏼‍🌾
