Heartbroken...
Words cannot describe my feelings at losing you. What all of us who loved you must be feeling. To have been able to share so many adventures and good times with you over the years, I feel truly blessed. We made films, we went across the world, we talked a lot of nonsense and drank and danced and lived life to the fullest, we got to see you bring a great son into the world and create a loving family and home, helping bring positive changes to the community, and even in the last few tough years, remain as inspiring as you were when we first met in 2010.
I'm so grateful we got to have you in our lives and create those memories with you.
You fought hard and brought strength every step of the way. Your strength will be with everyone who knew you every day in life forever. Your laugh will never be forgotten.

Died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved daughter of Marion and Joe Kelly; cherished mother of Knox; much-loved sister of Darragh and sister-in-law of Mags; and adored aunt of Eliza.
Slaine will be deeply missed by her parents, son, brother, sister-in-law, niece, her many cousins, extended family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
An actress, film producer, Slaine will be fondly remembered for her work, her spirit, and for helping to found St Anne's City Farm.
May Slaine Rest in Peace.
Reposing at her home, Allen Terrace, on Sunday, 5th July, from 4pm until 8pm, and on Monday, 6th July, from 10am-12pm and from 4pm until 8pm. House strictly private to family and friends.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, 7th July, at 11am in St Michan's Church, Halston Street, followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium at 1pm.
Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to My Lovely Horse.

Thanks so much to @ckvanderkaay.bsky.social for the kind words. I know a lot of folks know me for the found footage films, but I also made this film that’s truly special to me; Bring Out The Fear. It came at a turbulent time in life & was made with the best people. Love indie film. Live indie film!

Let me start by saying that I know this filmmaker, so it's not entirely unbiased.
Having said that: I'm shocked at how good this looks, how solid the acting is, and how effectively it evokes both wilderness horror and an allegorical story of the cyclical discomfort of a relationship that just isn't right.
There are flavors of Blair Witch in here, mostly in the locale and one aspect of the creepiness. But it has more in common with lesser known wilderness weirdness like THE INTERIOR and SIGNIFICANT OTHER that also use their locale as a jumping off point to talk about something else entirely.

If you’re in Ireland, this will be the only chance to see Distort 2: The Dead Among The Trees on the big screen! Heck, aside from the @unnamedfootage.bsky.social premiere, this is probably the ONLY big screen outing the film will have! VERY limited space, but I’d love to share the experience!
