The US defense department posted this a few hours ago on Twitter. US makes payment of its dues (ie contributions to NATO budget) dependent on European defence spending. And is doing a review on US force posture and contribution to European security.
Mhmhm. Yes, but also honestly I don’t think it is that easy and I would not want to be the person cancelling these projects (and not bc of sunk costs, it’s just not that obvious (to me at least) that these are all no longer needed…)
