Recovery in the Bin
@ritb
recoveryinthebin.org A critical theorist and activist collective of survivors, service users, disabled people.
Hats off and applause to Dolly Parton, one of the decent celebs out there in celeb land
Jeremy Vine is “impartial“, apparently, which is why he was such a popular choice to host an event by @carers-uk.bsky.social that they’ve had to withdraw the invitation.
@carers-uk.bsky.social still don’t seem to understand why disabled people, survivors, activists and carers hate Jeremy Vine so much.
When it looked like Benjamin Zephaniah would become a Cambridge don, The Sun ran this…
This writer is disabled himself. Behind a paywall,it attacks people with disabilities whilst justifying it with his own disability. He has form for attack articles on the disabled, people on benefits,pensioners, presumably feeling he’s immune from attack because he tows the line of those who hate us
How - in the light of this - is there any justification for raising the pension age even further?
The DWP are absolute bastards - punishing people who have more than very basic savings - a limit they haven’t raised in 20 years - whilst berating people for not having sufficient savings
It’s completely coincidental that The Times also twists what the report says in exactly the same way….
We’ve put this on Twitter in the hope it’ll get their attention, but we’re happy to help in whatever way we can
We got into trouble for calling this out on Twitter. The vile owner of that site wants normalise disgusting language for fellow fascists, but also has recently called for people calling someone a fascist to be considered as incitement to murder, which would lead to a lengthy jail sentence…
This hypocrite said this on his website when trying to get elected (and has forgotten to delete it on his website…)
Govt have been briefing this rubbish to right wing rags for the last few days. Forcing people into work who aren’t well enough to work will not cure people or make them better, nor make someone any less depressed or anxious. This is performative cruelty, punishing people for being unwell.
Patient gets referred for IAPT, and the first communication they get, in the same envelope as a first appointment, is this…..
Just @mind.org.uk having a bake-off with the DWP, who regularly impoverish people with mental health issues and drive them to suicide. Cake or death? Or let them eat cake? 🤔
