Rivi found Pompon as a kit in the Twelveswood, early on in ARR, and after learning she was an orphan couldn't help but take her in. They've been there too, after all. As you can see, she was feisty from the get-go, but very quickly earned her name. She has since been spoiled rotten... #riviart

Sketches of Rivière circa early A Realm Reborn, first encountering and tending to a juvenile nutkin, Pompon. In the first sketch, Pompon defiantly bites into Rivi's hand as she's handled, causing Rivi to wince. "Ghk-! I-it's okay..." In the second sketch, a tuckered out Pompon has decided the soft comfort of Rivi's beret is worth trusting this Lalafell for. Rivi has their hands to their face, completely fallen in love with her.

After retreating to a remote, northern forest to hone their black magic skills, an encounter and pact with a mysterious cervine forest spirit awakens new power in Rivière, but leaves both them and Pompon a little... different. "Er... I-I can explain? I think?" #riviposes

Rivière's Evercold Black Mage outfit - plus newly added rodent features. They wear a tall, bent red head with a large crescent moon pin, a blue wintry cloak with white fur trim, and a long red-and-black skirt. Sprouting out of their cheeks are long whiskers, and from behind them pokes a huge fluffy tail the same blue hue as their hair. Their fanciful wooden gem-ended staff peeks out from behind them as well. They look guilty and embarrassed about the situation to the viewer.

Accompanying them are Pompon, now a flying squirrel, gliding towards the 'camera', and a large-antlered reindeer laying down beside Rivi.

It's been close to a year since I last did something like this, and I've delved way deeper into my WoL in that time, so redoing this with a nice new template felt due! Some of these date back to the original Kingdom Hearts OC Rivi, others are more specific to the FFXIV version.

I started this ref of (Lalafell) Rivi for Artfight before deciding not to participate this year, but decided to finish it anyway and expand it into an Encyclopedia Eorzea style profile spread. Hopefully a good primer to new followers on this account! #riviart

I had a game-changing realization last night: Krile actually IS min height, so not only do she and Rivi have a height difference, she and Mashi are the same height. So I couldn't resist seeing how Rivi would look nudged up even taller next to them both...

A chart detailing my WoL Rivière's emotional state across MSQ on a scale of "it's so over" to "we're so back". There is way too much text to type here but the gist is:
- very erratic across ARR and HW
- absolute plummet in STB
- rises up then plummets again in SHB
- a bit of back and forth before and during EW before absolutely soaring by the end
- up high and stable across DT and patches
- deep plummet in 7.5

#riviart WIP for the next fic chapter. I don't usually post WIPs but it's been such slow going for me I want at least a crumb to share Shy scared little Studium dropout with barely any battle experience dropped in front of Primal and barely skirts by via their Echo. They'll be fine : )

I headcanon that Rivi and Krile co-developed Pictomancy at Sharlayan during their youth! It's always been a cornerstone of their relationship and still is into their adulthood. Rivi helped mentor her in using it in combat post Endwalker but Krile still has a lot to teach Rivi in turn.

I may or may not have already whipped up an Evercold glam... And a hairstyle change, too! I found room for a decent timeskip of about 2 years after 7.4 for Rivi, now 27 years old, to mature and sort of belatedly come into themself during a stretch of peace, and I wanted to reflect that visually.

My WoL Rivière Renais and Krile Baldesion together as Pokemon. Rivi is a pale blue Smeargle with dark blue accents, reddish-pink paint on their tail and matching eyes, and a daisy in their beret. Krile is a yellow-and-white Audino with turquoise eyes, her ears tied up with a pink ribbon to resemble her signature ponytail. Krile has grabbed Rivi's tail to paint a little heart on their cheek, causing them to blush.
