Today’s harvest! 1.5 pounds green bug beans, .60 pounds jalapeño, and a couple yellow squash. I can’t wait for the pink Brandywine- the plant set so many! Also Roma and purple cherry. Not seen, but harvested,spinach, Romaine, sweet white turnips, beets, elderberries, and more squash. More coming!
My goodness! I just had a battle- on two fronts- with my momma hens. The two idiots decided to hatch in the same box. One hen’s hatched first. A day old chick from the other was being harmed by hen #1. Separating two angry and determined Valkyries with young is not something to take lightly!

I grew up with that smog. It hurt to breathe and my eyes would water. It happened on really hot days. School would lockdown and all we could do is stay inside in a dark room and listen to the teacher read. There’s a very good reason California fights so hard for environmental issues. Never again.
True to form, this lamb of March has reverted to a BIG, STINKY GOAT! It’s knee deep in my yard and It’s still coming down. 😑 Poor chickens are trapped but the dogs are having a blast!
Mood. I really miss this guy- he was so full of love and shenanigans.
