Summer evening concert by a Bob Seger cover band. Even though Bob Seger is local and I grew up when his music was really popular, I only know a few of his songs. This cover band was an awesome group of excellent musicians that rocked both me and my little town tonight. 🎶

My favorite Christmas present this year. My 5-year-old grandson made this bracelet for me because he knows I love wearing bracelets and I love being his Babcia (“grandmother” in Polish).

#NoKings at Ferndale, MI. (Photo by WDIV) It was a peaceful gathering and lots of people in cars were honking in solidarity with us as they passed by. I saw only one counter protester - a man on a motorcycle who flipped us off as he passed by. I was surprised he was wearing a helmet.
My grandson, F, loves to go to the library with me. I’m now running for the Library Board and my son and grandson made a campaign sign for me. F also insisted on making a special sign for Babcia and him stating the library is for us. I love it and put it out in the front yard.

Enjoying the last weekday of summer with our grandson (he starts school on Monday). First pic: Grandpa and grandson wading in Lake St. Clair (MI). Second pic: that's the RenCen in Detroit on the horizon. That's approximately 30 miles away - that's how clear a day it was.
My DIL stopped by today with my two grandsons for a surprise visit. She had them select flowers for me from a local store and then she arranged them. I have the best DIL (and the best grandsons, of course 🙂!) 💜

On my first walk by the river in six weeks, I saw a heron. This is the closest I've ever been to a heron and I was thrilled he/she didn't fly away from me.
