And so it begins … The Chancellor of the Exchequer has appointed Farage to be Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead. Vote Binface!
Hmmm. Islands don’t count? Easy to say as a politician. But try telling that to the Marines. They have a “thing” about islands they captured, at huge personal cost…
I had a local company that makes kitchen/bedroom cabinets made me a carcass to order, then I added the rails. The worktop gives me a full width desk/workbench, and I have matching shelves and wall cupboards above. It wasn't expensive, but did take quite a bit of effort in measuring / planning etc.
Hey Reform voters, it seems it’s now their policy to _penalise_ women that don’t have enough children. You’re OK with that, right? Right? FFS.
Not according to Wikipedia. The references 83-85 make interesting reading, eg www.gov.uk/government/n...
Size surely matters. But so does expertise. Source: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/economic-update-services-exports-outpace-goods/
No. No it won’t. And no we shouldn’t. What we should do is get on with reintegrating with the EU.
America is no longer a meaningful member of the Western Alliance. It’s a cuckoo in the nest, and needs to be treated as such.
Worth looking at this diagram of the structure of the NHS. Streeting saying there is huge duplication between NHSE and the DHSC, and NHSE and the regional teams (apparently not a controversial view) and the aim of abolishing NHSE is to eliminate that duplication and improve efficiency. 🤷🏻♂️
Being suspicious, I checked the videos of the press conf. Starmer was ducking the question as well as he could¸ not helped by Trump talking over the end of his reply, telling the reporter (and Starmer?) "That's enough". Too many people are twisting stuff to create divisions that don't exist.
We need immigration. Our populations will shrink dramatically without it, which will lead to collapse of our societies - there will be no one to do the work. Our challenge is to ensure not too much, not too little, but always of the people with the right skills and ability to integrate.
Didn’t you American folks fight a war with us Brits specifically so you would never again be subject to the rule of a king? If you’ve changed your mind, we’ve still got a royal family, pretty benevolent, with centuries of experience. I’m sure we could work out a deal to take you back…
Except size of government was at an all time low before Brexit, and has exploded since, because of the extra work that was done for us by the EU. And there’s no slack left in local government.
Meanwhile, over on “the other place”, it seems like Elon’s plans for Nigel won’t involve $100M donations to his limited company. Poor Nigel.
A reminder when we hear people arguing about making more concessions to farmers because we need to be self-sufficient in food for food security reasons. The UK has not been self-sufficient in food since the 1700s.
