I was at an event several years ago and there was an immaculate two-tone example on display. I kept looking for one for a while after that, but really clean examples in an interesting spec are hard to come by.

And yes, it's manual. Also (if you're new to them): • RWD • Rear-engined layout • Flat-six engine • Cooled by air, not water You could argue that it offers hints of the later classic 911 for a fraction of the price. (Or you could deem it a bigger, more powerful Beetle...)

Today's Marketplace temptation: a '66 #Chevrolet Corvair Monza. Garaged for 30 years. Doesn't run and needs some paint. Yours for £5,000. There's a chance you could get it going without much effort. See if it rolls over, clean the points, freshen up the carbs... #Corvair #WeirdCarBS #ClassicCars

Bit of a curveball: Suzuki Swift Sport (ZC32S). Put together nicely, durable, superb to drive, comfortable, refined, 3dr/5dr. Unlike many, they have excellent kit: cruise, climate, keyless entry/start, proper bi-xenon lights, etc. And a timing chain. Not outwardly luxurious, but solid and mature.

(Although, as pointed out elsewhere, removing it wouldn't be that straightforward. Some filler and paint required, at the very least.)

Never liked convertible C4 Corvettes. But this, with the hard top... I'm warming to it. Without the big glass hatch, the profile reminds me of the later C5 FRC (and Z06). Cool to have the option of dropping the top, too. I'd have to lose that luggage rack immediately, mind... #OldCarBS #WeirdCarBS

One of a handful of Rivians I saw. There were a few F-150 Lightnings around as well! Quite a few other electric cars, too (Renault Zoes, Leafs, Teslas, etc.).

Before this trip, I'd only seen one or two Mitsubishi Eclipses in the metal in my life. In Kyiv, I saw about five over the course of several days.
