Got a reminder today about the time I held an actual Emmy award (those jokers are *heavy*) that someone local let us borrow to use as a prop for the short film I wrote, "#RIP." That film also featured the voice of Marilyn Ghigliotti ("Clerks") and actress Naomi Grossman ("Pepper" from AHS).

Fiona Apple, Fetch The Bolt Cutters album. Helped me unearth and heal and free myself from the last lingering bit of childhood trauma. The title song is my medicine. Rubber Soul, The Beatles. I was born in 1968, so my Beatlemania hit in the 70s-early 80s. My older brother (Generation Jones) made sure that I listened to the albums in chronological order. This one was like a tuning fork to my person for some reason; it's the album I always go back to.

Destroy That Boy, a compilation of "more girls with guitars" featuring bands like the Debutantes and The What Four. Opened my eyes to great stuff that never got much attention (because patriarchy). Made me feel like I could do whatever the fuck I wanted.
