I had only seen the David Niven “Casino Royale” when I sat front row center in our local Cinerama theater to see my first Bond, “The Spy Who Loved Me”. The end of the opening blending into Carly Simon was, as you say, such a thrill.

With exception (i.e. “Of Human Bondage”), I would never collect pre-1970 Australian daybills, rare or not, because they do look like crap. In my entire collection, I own only one, which is the daybill for “84 Charing Cross Road” because @jsmithcameron.bsky.social is so magnificent in it.
That is the “Australian daybill”; they are consistently and notoriously grotesque. This is the equivalent, the “American insert”:

At 65, I am going to be an outlier here as my father worked part time for United Films in Tulsa, which rented 16mm films to businesses and universities. Every weekend, he brought home two films so I have easily seen “Sweet Charity”, “The Yellow Submarine” & “Thoroughly Modern Millie” over 20 times.
