Driving at 20mph can be a tricky skill to master but the key to it is to drive at 20mph.
The air's fresh. Has a nice compact town centre. Cheap housing. And you're near nice countryside, 2 hours from Skye and Ullapool, half an hour from the Cairngorms. Has an airport and train station. If English cities are too hot for you move to Inverness.
As cities go though I do like Inverness. It's never too hot in summer, not too cold in winter. Doesn't rain as much as where I am in the west. Population of 50,000, more of a large town than city, but it's the Highland's market town so punches above its weight for bars and hardware stores.
First day in over a fortnight it's not raining. And I'm not working 😊 Going out for a ride. 🚴♂️
Thought I'd spotted a 2 hour gap in the showers so I went for a bike ride. I did get rained on but I was almost back by then so it wasn't too bad. 🚴♂️
