A picture I took of the Common Buzzard feeding on a pigeon. Sadly the picture hasn't the "punch" & depth of the original as I had to cut the size of it to accommodate the file size/type for social media.
Hi, thanks for that, its a patch about the same size as a thumb nail & when I first saw it I thought it was a reflection off one of the French doors in the sunshine but as night falls .... :( ~ it doesn't show on a black screen I've tried to show on attached photos but phone camera is pretty Cr4p
robertofferphotoimagery 1m Morning All! ~ Here's a shot I took yesterday - KING CHARLES 3rd Birthday Flypast Parade ~ From the practice flypast parade around lunchtime yesterday ~ these two were "bring up the rear!" [photographed from very close to home 🙂 ] 600mm & a small crop.
Still no connection on your link, Martin so I tried a mobile hot-spot. This is the result ..... Still no connection
Morning Martin, sorry I didn't pick up your post last night. This morning, I appear to have some kind of problem [usual DL rate 1.4Mbps - seems OK if slow but I get an error message when I click on your link [either of them]
Photo Credit: Lee Blake Here's a schedule of talks etc to March/April 2026 at Lincs Aviation Heritage Centre. East Kirkby @bakeliteguy.bsky.social are you free 28/02? or are you giving the talk? :)
@robm.bsky.social It seems that it must be another F1 weekend? I just don't understand all these memes - :) :)
Not a lizard BUT .......... !!!! They're beautiful birds & fairly common around here.
I'm not a portrait photographer but here's a bit of fun in a studio with "Pip The Gentleman"
Despite yesterday being a bitterly cold day, there were some lovely patches of sunshine! Let's not forget that here in the UK, Winter often doesn't end until at least March, yesterday brought thoughts of #Springtime25, seeing #bumble_bees amongst the frost before #Neonicotineoid_killers are sprayed
I've not posted here in a little while so I thought tonight I'd post an image of a Tawny Owl - a favourite species. I hope that you enjoy it too and aren't kept awake by memories of their eerie night-time screech ~ enjoy .....
Here's a light painting composition from several years ago ~ a lot of fun with some great folks though it was rather Brrrrrrrrr Cold!!
I feel sorry for it but it's a grey and in the UK classed as vermin. If allowed to survive will wipe out the UK native species with squirrel pox. Here's a lovely RED Squirrel photo - our ONLY NATIVE SPECIES -
This is one of the old #RedDeer which I managed to photograph during a visit to #BradgatePark near Leicester, UK. Old Red was just having a scout of the area prior to settling down for a late morning snooze in the bracken. #Deer #Nikon
#mammals #wildlifeUK #RedFox #WildlifePhotography #NIKONEurope I've been quiet for a day or two but thought I'd post this one today of one from my favourite Red Fox photos. I hope that you enjoy it too!
@joncoupland.bsky.social just browsing, I discovered this pic & immediately thought just how kind your young lady's been to organise the delivery of your next batch of #Proton cars for Christmas & 2025 - I'm just wondering if "mrsjoncoupland" considered docking on it's return journey up The Witham??
With such dreadful weather in most of UK at the moment, I'd like to cheer you all up a little bit. This is a Red Squirrel in the North Yorkshire forests, they're just so cute but you have to remember that they are wild & need to be treated as such. This little one was jumping all around - Enjoy!
To start today's photos, here's a shot taken in a small wood in Leicestershire UK #Buzzard #WildlifePhotographyUK #NIKON #Pigeon #Buzzard_Feeding #Raptor I hope you like this! It's a bit gory but that's nature & what raptors are very good at; I've lots of Feral Pigeons at home no resident raptors
#Mammals #Badger #Wildlife_Photography_UK #Nikon #Nikkor300/2.8 This image taken on the edge of woodland in Leicestershire, UK Parent badger searching for food to feed cubs. I love wildlife but have very mixed feelings about badgers eating hedgehogs. Here is tonight's image .... enjoy!
If anyone is interested, this is my Friendly Fox [nickname Fred or Freddie :)] caught on TrailCam last night. He was fed a whole tin of dog food and some scraps of ham fat - put out around 22:30 but not taken until 00:45 - last night we had several visits [4 maybe 5] from him between 00:45 & 04:30
#mammals #Red_Fox #FoxOfTheDay #Photography #Wildlife_Photography #Nikon #Nikkor_300/2.8 I just love the alertness of the gorgeous Red Fox taken early evening near Retford, Notts. UK.
#mamals #foxes #red_fox #Wildlife_Photography_UK - Hopefully, if I have got it right, this will be my first post to this group, so, here goes :) ..... This is a picture of a Red Fox taken in a large garden of a fellow wildlife photographer near Retford, UK. I hope that you enjoy this ~
#ukbirding #photography #ukwildlife #Lincolnshire #Kestrel #Nikon Firstly thanks for accepting me into this wonderful, charming community. It looks as if I have a lot of learning to do to get postings right, but hopefully won't be too clumsy! My first image is of a Kestrel. I hope U enjoy it!
