What a moment it was, to discover this anthology of Anglo-Welsh poetry in the library of Brecon High School, in (I guess) 1989, and to appreciate the voice it gave to me and many others at that time.
Coming to the end of this wonderful, beautifully written, inspiring, tricky & at times frustrating read, in time to give it to my brother for his birthday. As with Carwyn Graves’ previous book “Tir”, I know that this is a book that I will be coming back to for years to come. Very highly recommended.

A wonderful visit to a re-wetted peatland restoration site in the Elan Valley today, seeing snipe, curlew etc., with reminders of threats from fire, off-roading loons, overgrazing and long-term climate change.
