What always blows my mind is that he had an acknowledged half-brother (whose mother was an actress) who was a totally normal dude! Who was described at being smart and charming and handsome! Like literally one marriage not between and uncle and niece was all they needed

Juan José de Austria, half-brother of Charles II of Spain. He was at various times a general of the Spanish army, viceroy of Sicily, Governor-General of the Spanish Netherlands, and Chief Minister of Spain. He had a totally normal jaw.
