When a bunch of nerdy stoners get together for a smoke and some records, ideas happen.
I drove past Robert C Stille park in Edwardsville, IL and had to stop in for a look at this A-7E Corsair II. This one has tail marking for the legendary USS Nimitz, the (ahem) SECOND nuclear powered aircraft carrier. The A-7E carried the name Corsair in honor of the F-4U Corsair of WWII fame.
Cats, on the other hand, actually prefer to conduct business from an enclosed and fully equipped mobile command center.
I’m regressing. For real. Collecting Transformers, posing them, telling stories with them, playing. I keep expanding on their personalities too. I’m totally unfamiliar with the comics and only somewhat with the cartoons. Like, after 1986, I figured the story was done, right? #transformers
Too masc for men, not masc enough for women, batteries and pot are my only comfort.
Nothing for almost a year. I’m dealing with burnout, frustration, hand pain, and family stuff. I wish I knew when I will start again but whatever stuff that’s mentally in my way needs to clear itself out.

I used Vallejo weathering washes over a gloss finish. Water based so won’t damage plastics or resin.
#Histscalemodels #ScaleModels Years ago I was given a 1957 Revell tooling of the Lincoln Futura concept car. For a very old kit, it came together nicely. I used Tamiya pearl green with a clear finish of Mr. Hobby gloss spray and chrome detailing (what wasn’t already chromed) with Molotow pens.
#starshipmodels #ScaleModels #scifimodels #spacemodels As part of a club “Pre-1975” build challenge, I’m doing the old 1701 from AMT, originally tooled in 1967. It’s wildly inaccurate but one of the rules of the build is no aftermarket parts that weren’t available before 1975.

I’ve been using Vallejo pin wash recently. It’s water based so it’s easy to clean excess off a glossy finish and there’s no risk of reaction to plastics or paints.
Duuudes I should not be getting this high and listening to Pink Floyd alone. Someone come share this with me!
Lots of inaccurate shapes, weak parts fit, droopy nacelles, and covered in god-awful “brick” texturing. I did my best for it and never again will I build this particular kit.
