“A student complained [… that he/she] was uncomfortable in the graduate-level course. …” This seems to be the graphic described as saying “‘Make America Great Again’ is worse than police violence against POC”. I assume it’s disingenuous, but either way, the student isn’t qualified for grad school.

A graph used in a social work course that lists overt white supremacy (like slurs and hate crimes) and covert white supremacy that is socially acceptable (like MAGA and police mustering POC). There is a line dividing them, but it is obviously not a hierarchical listing of greater than/lesser than.

Related, from FB under a story about the murder of Kohen Wiley, a one year old, by police. We will win, but I will have no reconciliation with MAGA folks without self-reflection, contrition, and observable, long-term change. There can be no more presumption that they’re good people at their core.
