Luca Moretti's review of my latest book on Goodreads. 5-stars! November 30, 2025 Teenage Runaway is an emotionally gripping memoir that reads with the intensity of a novel yet carries the weight and honesty of lived experience.
Suicide is not the answer my friends; we've lost too many. Laugh and love. We must buoy each other to stand strong in choppy seas. Read my memoir HOME AT THE EDGE and conquer despondency with love.
My series of books are stand alone. You don't have to start at the beginning, however if you like Teenage Runaway, you will be enthralled by Chicago Rage.
I was a premature anti-fascistic. Here is my latest book, about running away to New Orleans in 1967 at 15.
In 1970 they sent me a 4F card after I registered for the draft, and I never had a physical exam. Why? My books detail the events of those days, on the road and in the streets.
This book begins my series, "Memoirs of a 1960s Hippy," but all these books can be read as stand-alone memoirs. Warning, they are not for the faint of heart. Be brave and walk on the wild side with me.
