France are undoubtedly rugby’s great entertainers, and they were thrilling to watch in this game. But don’t be fooled by the margin of victory. They need to show some steel if they’re going to win anything other than the 6 Nations.
Moral victory for France? 🇫🇷 Plenty said about the number of players missing, but yet again a ‘weakened’ France showed they are far from ‘weak’. Too many errors from France. Cost them at both ends. Plenty of positives, but imagine we will see lots of changes next week.
Cracking signing for Vannes. One of the Top 14 best loosehead props (despite USAP’s failings). JIFF qualified, 🇫🇷 capped and still only 26yo. As replacements for Mako Vunipola go, they couldn’t have done much better.
And for the Chiefs supporting half of Rosbifs (Rich) some potentially cracking away games. Have to hope the Lions game is at Sandy Park, leaving the away game options to be Connacht, Ernest Wallon or Marcel Deflandre… 🤤
🇫🇷 FRANCE Team News Fabien Galthié had named his 23 to take on the All Blacks this Saturday and it is much stronger than the sides put out in NZ last summer. That back line is going to attack hard! Bundles of athleticism in that pack, three dynamic back rowers. Exciting!

Toulouse Team News 🛡️ It’s a shame not to see Ramos, but hard to complain too much when it’s a back three of Lebel, TT and Kinghorn with Capuozzo off the bench. Plenty of mobility in the pack, but two locks on a 5-3 bench. Focus has to be on the centres (specifically in defence…)
🧐Racing Team News 🩵 Habosi & Hulleu miss out through injury, but the backline reshuffle doesn’t exactly make them weak with Fickou and Tuisova coming in 🥵 Hughes returns, gives starting pack much more balanced look. 6-2 bench means they retain ballast.
