been watching a ton of hand tool/medieval style woodworking lately and becoming slowly more insane at how much games (especially Rimworld) abstract away just how much labor would have gone into processing logs into usable planks for construction and carpentry before good motors were available.

I don't know who needs to know this but #oldhammer folks should know that the 2nd edition tokens use a font called Primitive by Rick Mueller, which is just free. Like, you can just download it.

A sheet showing off an uncut set of the 2nd edition 40k starter box tokens. It includes a space marine and an orc crest, slow, combat and fast speed tokens, out of control, run, flamed, hidden, detected, jam, overwatch, recharge, out of control, and broken. Plus the turn token and 1,2 and 3 wound markers. All in various amounts.

They are using bright, mostly primary colors and given simple but evocative illustrations

If you're going to buy a big heavy rice bag (which you should!) and are thinking, "wouldn't that be a huge pain to carry home?", can't recommend enough getting a foldable cloth wagon. This is the one I have. Carries about two small/medium children or a week and a half of groceries.

the color #ff3322. It wouldn't materially improve, or even change anything in any meaningful way, but the fact that a certain color is just randomly absent as an artifact of a magic fairy wish would be interesting as a novelty for sure.
