Cat pictures seem to be the key. Geocities-style websites are back, baby.
She is alternating between staring at me and staring up at the box of treats. She has already had treats tonight, but she's convinced that if she stares hard enough, she will mentally force me to give her more. Not gonna happen, kittycat, you have had all your treats for the day.
"Not driving attendance" What the fuck is thus person saying, that someone should have gotten out the cattle prods and gone house to house to round up attendees? Actual celebrations that people want to go to don't have to drive up attendance.
Looking different for me - white text, readable. These load really slowly on mobile, for me at least, so maybe it missed a style element or something on loading?
The Seven Churches or Dísert Bhreacáin, on Inis Mor. There are actually only two churches, Teampall Bhreacáin and Teampall an Phoill - the rest of the buildings are all from what was a thriving community. The graveyard is still in use. #photography #ireland #inismor #ruins #sevenchurches
Inis Mór (big island), one of the Aran Islands off Galway. This is walking up to Dun Aonghasa - again, raining all day, with the weather giving the landscape a soft feel. The islands are part of the Burren, a limestone landscape. #inishmor #inismor #photography #ireland #dunaonghasa #theburren
Athenry (Baile Átha an Rí, town of the ford of the king): the Dominican Priory there - built in 1242, so it's Norman. #photography #ireland #athenry #ruins
Photos from Clonmacnoise (Cluain Mhic Nóis, Meadow of the sons of Nóis) monastery near Athlone, Co Offaly. It's an incredible site and, because of the shit weather, we had it all to ourselves - nobody else there, so we could roam to our heart's content. #photography #ireland #clonmacnoise #ruins
Trinity College, including the GMB, a giant Irish elk skeleton that lay hidden in a peat bog for centuries, and the Long Room, largely empty of books now. It's a long-term project to clean and safely store all the books that have been lodged there. #photography #ireland #trinitycollege
We went to Ireland a little while back and there are photos! From St Stephen's Green in Dublin... #photography #ireland #dublin
My favourite item at an exhibition at the Melbourne Museum a few years ago was a little limestone flake like this with a sketch of a donkey on it. I love it.
You're correct; they're for being able to force the doors open if they're damaged. auto.howstuffworks.com/hummer.htm
Practice vs talent in a nutshell: one picture is from where I was in high school and drawing every day. The other is from last night when I picked up a pencil for the first time in years to do more than a doodle.
If you see this, quote with a robot that isn’t from “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” “Doctor Who?” or “Transformers.”
"Clarify" may have some meanings I wasn't aware of. I thought it means to clear things up, not to furiously backpedal like backpedalling became an Olympic event.
Can confirm is Caturday in Australia and here is a pic of Littlecat attacking her mortal enemy, a shoelace, to prove it.
Not one single person has faced actual, real consequences aside from being named in Holmes' report. And those named have carried on with their lives.
One of my favourite things I've ever seen in a museum exhibition was a little donkey sketch on a piece of limestone. Some Egyptian sketched their donkey about 1300 - 1070 BCE and now it's an Art.
There are many things about this that skeeve me out, but "Share details about yourself, your life, experiences and feelings only when they directly related to the user's message" is one of the worst. Waifu users can't deal with someone who wants to be an equal participant in the conversation.
It looks stupid narrow in other photos of the kitchen as well. I don't think it's entirely down to wide angle distortion. It really is that narrow. Whoever designed that kitchen overall doesn't expect anyone to ever do more than serve up takeaway or make cup a soups in it.
With alt text @6newsau.bsky.social, you can set it so you need to add alt text. You want to be a serious news org, cater for all your users. Alt text isn't that hard.
