Two adjacent allotment plots are currently empty next to my mom's, which I guess is the reason this raptor is visiting more often. I think it might be a buzzard, but not sure. Hope it sticks around and deals with rodents regularly 😃
One of the very few films I walked out of, tedious as fuck. And I really enjoyed most of the Dogme 95 inspired films.
And another of these gigs I almost didn't attend, and it lifted my spirits into the stratosphere. Luft (a duo of Mats Gustafsson on sax and other brass and Erwan Keravec on bagpipes) with Otomo Yoshihide on turntables and guitar lifted the roof off an old tannery in St. Johann in Tyrol.
Got the most aggressive sounding solitary sparrow somewhere outside my window at the moment. An everlasting single note cheep cheep cheep ... that goes on for hours without break. How can such a small thing make so much annoying noise?
Belgian comic writer Franquin once made a one-pager about weapons turning to shit, which always brings a smile to my face. (No idea if this page will be visible in a decent fashion here, giving it a try.)
When I heard the new Arab Strap (see below), this braw wee video by Len Pennie came to mind instantly
Spring coming across nicely is at least somewhat of a solace for it being way too hot in Berlin for beginning of May. Cold spell incoming, no doubt.
Pellkartoffeln mit Quark und Leinöl (boiled potatoes with skin on, then peeled, with Quark, kinda vaguely like smooth curds, and linseed oil)
It's quite hard to capture the wonderful cloud like appearance of a blossoming sloe bush. Doesn't quite come across in the flat representation.
Kinda worry about what the hell it's doing taking over 5 minutes deleting backup files during an install 🤷
Oooh, that must have been very close to the time they did the Peel session in autumn 1999, which is when I heard them first. Got to see them live for the first time two years later in Glasgow.
Oookay, I'm going in. Been at least 20 years since I read this and ended up with nightmares for some time. Memories of reading it are all muddled, so feeling anticipation of what's actually written there.
No cheating: your last saved picture of a celebrity is a therapist. Closest thing to a celebrity I found. Also, oh no.
