Firing up the Stormcast for a KoW Ogre army. Here are two front-rank troops of hunters, which'll both combine with a back row of two Vindictors & a Praetor to form a complete hunting regiment - dogs, lighter armor (& smaller shields), spears, & a unit leader/veteran.

I'm not a big dress-wearer, so here's two just to run up some points on the "hot girl" side of the equation.

Rebasing some imagi-nation O8 WWI 3mm infantry, MGs, officers, & FT-17s. These (are a little hard to pick up from a flat surface tbh but) should be suitable for a 1/2 sized version of either Crossfire or Great War Spearhead II. Bases are Proxie Models 15mm rounds.

Very quick 1(-ish)-day 6mm rats for either half-size Warmaster (20x10mm bases) or tiny Rampant/Lament. The bases are chopped up clipboard. The rats are from Microworld's fantasy line. (They're fantastic 6mm sculpts. Very clean, very full of character.)

Three small bases with three miniatures of rat-folk with muskets each. The miniatures are the six millimeter scale. Each rat is wearing a robe or long tunic of either muted blue, green, or yellow. The rats are a mixture of grey and brown. The three bases, painted green, form a small column.

First few of The Damned off the line. They're a part of a far-future (Lost&Damned 3rd ed) rationality cult that gained popularity after their education-focused homeworld was rendered uninhabitable due to deferred maintenance on their tectonic stabilization systems. Now they worship Napoleon.

Three 28mm scifi miniatures. The bodies are from Wargames Atlantic's The Damned line, with vaguely modern, basic uniforms and a breastplate. The heads are a mix of The Damned for the ogre and Les Grognard shako infantry for the two humans. The coat for all three is blue, breastplate white, pants white, and boots black - a Napoleonic French theme. The two shakos are topped with red plumes and violet pompoms. The cuffs are red on all three. The ogre holds a flamethrower in both hands, while the two humans have a variation of small arms.

Happy TDOV - here's some visible art from a visible trans lady.

Fantasy map draft... final? Unless I want to add any more embellishments, I think we're good enough on this one to wrap it up. Pushed through & wrapped this up in only a couple days - not bad. I'd like to play w/ the other brush sets & do a more striking style for rivers in the future. We'll see.

Work table update. It feels like magic once flock/texture is added to 3mm bases. They go from taunting strips of horrid Lilliputians (& extremely fiddly if resin printed) to clear, clean, & obvious massed ranks. Just a few final touches on everything here, then done-zo.

A tiny piece of magic in between projects. (Beyond-roughly derived from the contours of a concept art sketch of a Dark Elf Cauldron of Blood. It looked like a lady carrying a cauldron of blood, hence a lady carrying a weird pot of blood.)

A 2"x2" canvas. The painting shows a central woman, painted green, bare-breasted and holding some kind of container with bright red inside of it. The pot is blue with two long decorative handles from either side that terminate upwards in sideways white crescents. Long curly white hair falls predominantly off her right side. Her clothing is flat black. The lines from one of the blue pot handles, the clothing, and a section of hair fully extend across the canvas in straight lines. The background is a terracotta red. At the top-left corner, four thin, spotty lines of pink extend across the length of the canvas. The pink lines extend underneath the rest of the painting, but the blue, white, and black sections extend over anything they touch.

3mm Microworld High Elf archers with combined spears & riders to reflect the high quality of elvish armies - well-drilled, very flexible. This isn't finished just yet - a few little things to do (like the banner & champion) & then adding flock/texture for the base.

Likely middle ground choice: same 80x100mm base as option #1, but ~2-3 fewer miniatures per row to keep it less cramped & let me get about 10 sonae done with another ashigaru box. (5 per box feels pretty good!)

Attempting to (abstractly) represent Sengoku era sonae in 10mm. Any opinions on either option #1 (80x100mm) or #2 (75mm sq.)? I can build about 8-ish sonae total with option #1. Haven't done the math with #2, but probably around 10 sonae - or 8 with a big sonae to represent a honjin/HQ section.

To make my case, a small band of Splintered Light dwarves. Super fast to paint up, easy as pie. (Absolutely recommend these dwarves btw, although they are *quite* small - 10-11mm from feet to eyes!)

A group of five Splintered Light Miniatures 15mm dwarves, with two rangers and three huscarls. The rangers are wearing brown clothes with olive green hooded cloaks. The huscarls are wearing silvery chainmail and a mix of blue, yellow, red, and green. The shields of the huscarls are blue with a white boss. One of the huscarls has ditched the shield and is holding a small crossbow instead.
