Maybe just a coincidence...

The Car Built For Homer is a car designed by Homer at Powell Motors, and as such is a ridiculous vehicle from the get-go. It is a massive greenish-yellow sports car with outlandish features adorning the car. The rear sports a behemoth of a spoiler, and in the middle two bubble domes (one with a horn that plays "La Cucaracha"), and the front holds a metal bowler as a hood ornament..
