This might just be me nitpicking, but given that Sacred Parks and Waterways doesn’t identify any board members/chair/etc online, I think it’s sketchy to just say “a representative told us”

What they should actually do is add crosswalks and take away a car lane.
At Sisson and Wyman Park they’re actually planning to *add* driving lanes on the west side, which takes away pedestrian space and prevents people from walking to the trail for zero benefit.

But that’s not what the bill does. The bill adds the phrase “or 1 low-density multi-family dwelling” to the law. It’s not the bill that prohibits ADUs; it’s the existing code.
The whole article rests on the insinuation that 25-0066 introduces a new prohibition on ADUs.

Per the article, people are speeding on suspended licenses. If you don’t like the speed governors, NY could pass a law seizing the cars instead. The status quo is not tenable.
I put in a 311 request Friday night because someone parked their massive pickup truck in the bike lane. It took until this morning for anyone from the city to respond, and by that time, the truck was gone. What good does a 311 request do if it takes >34 hours to get parking enforcement to show up?
I think it depends some on the type of ticket, too. Looking through the 311 app, parking issues seem to get marked “closed” when someone responds. Other types of requests get marked “closed” when they send it to the department, but there’s another field that says the work order hasn’t been started.
