Nine years ago today, we brought home this furry bundle of joy! She had been living with my coworker, but the coworker had adopted a second cat and this one stopped playing and interacting so coworker asked me if I wanted her. I discussed it with Mike; we decided we did; and the rest is history!
I mean look at this face. Does this look like a criminal to you? No. She's too busy sleeping to commit crimes!
In my defense, my Michaels finally has Big Twist Ombre and I need all of this for projects
What do we think? Would a top made out of these look frumpy or fabulous?
I'm thinking about making one of these granny square sweaters from my vintage patchwork crochet book. It will be a cardigan either way and the cardigan pattern on the right has a long-sleeved option. I have 2 skeins of pink and 1 skein each of plum, ivory, and sage Big Twist. Not sure it's enough!
I finished this sea turtle last night! I went rogue when it came to the head, the joining instructions, and the embroidery because I didn't want to sew into it when it was full. Also I made the front flippers larger than the back and added a mouth. #Crochet #Amigurumi #SeaTurtle #CrochetKit 🧶
Opinions over here, too. Namely that little kitties should always be given some of humans' food if they ask for it!
I'm not the brightest bulb in the crayonbox--there's a plus sign under Additional Details that shows which race I registered for. In good news, I'm not registered for a 10k! Just wish I'd discovered this before emailing the race to confirm. 😅
Using the letter tiles from Bananagrams and the color tiles from The Wordle Game, my daughter and I figured out how to play Waffle!
Working on this #crochet animals kit I bought at Aldi last summer. The pattern creator is Australian and the kit is for a sea turtle and a kangaroo, but the book also includes patterns for a koala and a galah (Australian bird)! I love that these patterns start with chain 2 instead of the magic ring.
Q: What did the crocheter say when she finished making a shawl? A: That's a wrap! 🧶
I need to go for a run but there's crocheting to do and a cat to cuddle
I did and I hated it! The paper said it would take only two skeins to make a blanket and like a fool I believed it. It was very difficult to work with and the blanket that resulted (which needed SIX skeins) isn't very cozy!

A little late for the 2016 throwback trend, but that's because we had to wait until May to get married due to family stuff. Happy Decaversary, @s1carii.bsky.social! I still do. 👰🏻♀️🤵🏻♂️
Aaaand I've lost yarn chicken! I'm going to put this away for a while and work on other projects. When I self-imposed a yarn-buying ban I had sort of made an exception for yarn needed to finish projects, but I don't want to deal with this one right now. #OmarWrap #TLYarncrafts #Crochet 🧶
I had to roll a ball in the second-last row. Working on that now and it's kinda stressful. 😬
Two rows left--I'm going to be so mad if I run out of yarn! This project was supposed to be a stashbuster and if I have to go buy another cake just to finish the last row, the purpose will be defeated. Or I could leave off the final row or two--but then it won't be an Omar Wrap. 🥴
I've got four more rows of this Omar Wrap to crochet. Will I run out of yarn?

#ShowMeYourKnits purple! This is the second scarf I've made and the project that got me knitting again. Scarves are my favorite thing to knit because they're so easy!
This type of person is part of the reason we're still dealing with the pandemic six years later. 😬
