Could cystatin C improve AKI detection in the ICU? In >9,400 critically ill patients, cystatin C–based staging identified 11% more AKI & 10% more Stage 3 AKI than Cr based KDIGO criteria. Reclassified patients had higher short- & long-term mortality. 🔗 doi.org/10.1016/j.ek...
