As a boy my mother would drive us to San Diego every summer. I got to know Route 66 really well. When Interstate 10 replaced Rt 66, many businesses that relied on car traffic went out of business. So did the Burma Shave signs. I still enjoy visiting the remaining stretches of Rt 66.
