I present Landon’s Liberation Plan! So, we use Vermin’s special recorders. Tommy hides one in their hangout and records as much dirt as possible. Tommy, make sure we get their plans for the town!” Eve said, speaking quickly. It was almost hard to understand her. “Meanwhile, I will get closer to Marilyn. I have a date with her soon. I’ll convince her to join our side so she can help us expose Kyle and the Spartan Soldiers.”
“During the founding celebration, Amy uses her press connections to get into the music booth! She’ll play the recordings, and Marilyn gives her speech, which I’ll help write, denouncing them. The town finds out, gets angry, and runs them outta town!” She said, with a wide smile. “Questions?”

*Sigh* I love Carrie, it’s the first Stephen King Book I read and my favorite. There has never been a book accurate depiction of Carrie. The closest we got is from Sissy Spacek, and while the performance was amazing, it still wasn’t book accurate. 1/2 #Carrie #Horror #BookSky

“Well, you already are,” Tink said, with a giggle as Peter floated up and hit his head on the ceiling. His yelp echoed throughout the house. He quickly covered his mouth, and both froze in place. They waited for the sound of footsteps, and his mother yelling. A sense of relief washed over them both, before laughing at almost waking Peter’s mother. His eyes widened as he started flying around the room. Tink laughed as she flew behind him.

“Oh? You just smelled the fish we caught?” He laughed, as Zephyr tried to reach for one of them. It wouldn’t make up for the lost deer but it would be enough to feed them.
“Can you really understand him?” Michael asked, raising his eyebrow. “Who taught you how to speak bird?”
Tinkerbell did.
“I picked it up being here, you really ask a lot of questions.” Peter said, taking one of the fish they caught on the way back to camp. He tossed it to Zephyr who at it happily, “Maybe I’ll teach you how. TigerLily can speak to some animals too.” With a wave of his hand, the stone walls separated.

#WIPSnips Word of the day is ‘keep’. From Dust and Shadows: -Michael asking Peter if salt does ward off. Of course, he doesn’t want to talk about how he knows it works. Michael then starts to cry. Both are just dealing with some trauma. #WritingCommunity

Why are they afraid of salt?” Michael asked, “Does it really keep them away?”
Peter nodded and said, “I read a few books on it. My-nevermind. Just trust me, it works.” He pushed those memories back. Now wasn’t the time to remember what things used to be like. There were more important things to worry about. It was time to fly again. Only Michael didn't follow him. Instead, he stayed grounded, his hands clasped in front of him. Peter heard him sobbing quietly. Great, he was crying again.

Eve tossed on a pair of blue pants and a black jumper. It looked simple, but the jumper had tiny stars along it that formed intricate patterns along the front and back. She gave herself one final look in the mirror. Deciding whether or not she should put on a hat or coat. She quickly grabbed a white sunhat.
“Hmm, I feel like I will never take this outfit off, but…sunhat or no sunhat?” The noise downstairs broke her train of thought. Michael was talking to Amy in the other room about last night. She bit her lip as she went over to her bags. A cold tinge hit her back as she dug through them. Relief hit her as she saw the bottles were still there. She knew that Michael was going to be pissed at her for taking them. It was for his own good. At least, that’s what she is hoping for.

#WIPSnips Word of the day is humid…which I don’t have so I’m going ✨vibes✨ From Dust, and Shadows. -The start of chapter 1, a description of Neverland, and its changing weather. (This hasn’t been through a second round of edits yet) #WritingCommunity

Everything around Neverland became quiet. A dark cloud covered the skies, with only moments of sunlight piercing the clouds, and a thick fog surrounded the island. The fog prevented one from entering or leaving Neverland. The weather was a collage of every changing weather. A perfect sunny day could become a treacherous storm in a matter of moments. Some days one could experience all four seasons in a single day. No pirate ships to be seen, no crocodiles swimming in the water, and no signs of fairies.

I got it covered, Charlie.” Marilyn said, going into her purse. Eve was about to stop her, but it was too late. She placed three larger silver tokens on the table, and asked the mechanic to drop it off wherever Eve asked.
Eve made sure to remind herself to ask Michael about the silver tokens. What ELSE did he not tell her? “Keep the change!” Marilyn said, before taking Eve’s hand. The two waved their goodbyes as Eve excitedly took her gift, she made sure to ask the mechanic to drop it off at The Landon Reader. Her face was bright red as she was unsure how to repay Marilyn.

Marilyn looked around the festival. Her eyes darted all across the crowds. There wasn’t a sign of Kyle yet. With a groan, Marilyn took Eve’s hand and dragged her to the back of the stage. “You have five minutes, go.”

“When have you ever cared about rules?” Peter said, “Please, Tinkerbell! I promise to listen to you. I’ll stay out of trouble, and we’ll only play a few pranks! Please, I'll do anything!” He got down on his knees, and his head bowed. Her heart sank seeing him like this. Tinkerbell thought of Miss Briar’s lectures of being a princess.
“Why is your mom sending you away?”
“I just turned fifteen. Next year I won’t be a boy anymore. She said I need to carry my own weight.” Peter said, “Please, Tink, take me with you.”

Once Eve was done she smiled and said, “Despite being a big grumpy meanie, I can tell he has a big heart for others… but still needs to relax.” She gave him a playful jab in the side.
Michael returned the smile before he gently bopped her on the head.
“Ow! What was that for!” Eve snapped, rubbing the top of her head.
“That's for making all those stops, and making fun of me. But thank you, that means a lot.” He said, remembering what Mabel and Daniel did for him. They took him in, raised him as one of their own, and made him who he was.

Marilyn herself was wearing a blue jacket wrapped tight around her body. It was similar to the coat Amy was wearing. A black scarf wrapped around her neck. Her face. There was a bruise on her cheek and a black eye. Eve felt her heart stop as she froze in place.
“Marilyn, did something happen?”
“No, I just fell at home. Don’t worry about it.”
“Marilyn…”
“Don’t. Worry. About. It.” She said, taking a seat at the fountain’s edge, patting the spot next to her. “Take a seat. We need to talk.”

Good morning #WIPSnips Word of the day is ‘tournament’, which I don’t have or anything close. So I am going to be 100% cheating here with this snip. From Making Utopia Eve and Amy nearly get mugged but they beat the guy before the guards come. (Yes, that is a pocket sand reference) #WritingCommunity

The man smirked, “You made this really easy. Maybe I should have some fun with you two.” The mugger grabbed the bags, but Eve wouldn't let them go! “Hey, let them go! Let them go, or I swear I’m going to slit your throat-” Midway through his sentence, Eve threw the handful of sand in his eyes! The man yelled out, dropping his knife and rubbing his eyes. Amy saw her chance. She moved a garbage can and kicked it at him. The crash attracted nearby town guards. Their voices could be heard nearby, grabbing Amy’s hand and their bags, Eve began running down the alleyway. Both just passing by the confused guards.

The hit to the ground knocked the wind out of him, as he winced, feeling her grip on his arm. “I’ll take that as a yes. For the record, I let you do that.” He said, before coughing. She quickly got off him to grab some water. Despite the long sip, his coughing fit wouldn’t stop. Eve felt fear tingle through her body, and a wave of cold sweat went down her back. She came to his side and caressed his back. A knot of guilt twisted her chest and plugged her throat. As if sensing her guilt, Michael took Eve’s hand and leaned in to kiss her cheek.
