I’ve posted multiple times on here photos of Flash. Sadly, in the last couple days he got very very sick and we had to say goodbye to him earlier today. He was a beautiful Shiba and faithful friend. I miss him already.
My sermon this Sunday includes me complaining about DocuSign, an illustration from Charlton Heston, input from John Calvin, and a pastoral encouragement to avoid self-condemnation. So, all in all, a pretty normal sermon for me.
Last night I watched the final episode of season 2 of The Pitt and finished reading Theo of Golden. Goodness, my soul was full. I can't recommend both of them enough!
Spending New Years Eve at a Penn State bar in State College watching Penn State play while drinking a Yuengling. Can’t get more PA than this!
Whenever we work from home Flash likes to hang out at our feet most of the day. #flashfridays #shiba #shibainu #dogs #dogsofbluesky
@frutledge.bsky.social following me and liking some of my posts is really encouraging to me! Her writings and sermons have long fed my soul and continually point me to Jesus.
Flash giving me the side eye. "Why can't you just let me sleep human?" #flashfridays #shiba #shibainu #dogs #dogsofbluesky
Flash next to our fresh Christmas tree! #flashfridays #shiba #shibainu #dogs #dogsofbluesky

I finished James by Percival Everett a couple weeks ago. I'm still thinking about it today. A beautiful book that lays bare the horrors of American chattel slavery and also points to the power of reading, writing, and story. I'm glad it got recognized as the National Book Award for Fiction.
On Fridays I'm going to play around with posting 1 pic of my 9 year old Shiba Inu. His name is Flash. He's a fun, mischievous, quiet, sleepy, good boy. I'll call these #FlashFridays.
My buddy Flash is getting ready to bed down for the evening. Not far behind him.
