Not me saving a screenshot of the originator of this discourse into Zotero out of spite… Simultaneously, this person's post felt so intensely like engagement bait that I still don't want to do them the dubious "honor" of tagging, directly naming, etc.
In my experience, @zettlr.com handles this sort of visual split very well. The first image is from the app's site. And at least on MacOS, recent versions of the app also use transparency for that left-most "Workspace" file navigation pane background—an approach I can't recall seeing elsewhere.
Hopefully this helps somehow? The yellow zones are power outages. It just added the name of the Cloverdale Fire, but clicking on it doesn't say how many acres or etc. The Mcconn Fire says it's about 7 acres. Hopefully that's all you're smelling?
Never a bad time for @justseeds.bsky.social graphics… …and this classic by Josh MacPhee feels extra timely.
For anyone interested, a reminder that this page exists: status.instructure.com
Adorno when he logs on and realizes that 1/4th of the way through the 21st century, "middlebrow" as a descriptor still primarily includes music with a tonal center.
🎶 🎤 I've admired your heart-shaped phlox for weeks #bloomscrolling
So, like… is the dog named "Crazy Horse"? Is it the dog singing "la la-la laa" back up vocals on "Everybody knows this is nowhere"‽!??!
Yet another example of bad alt text, presumably written by "powerful" GenAI. The default alt text for a gif on here reads "a man with glasses looks at a plant in a can that says pepsi on it". I don't recognize the can's logo, but it's clearly not Pepsi, and they've never used those colors.
That peculiar "fun" when your so-called representatives don't have sufficient spine to even have their office staff answer their phone lines.
If you see this, why not post a picture from whatever device you're using with no explanation?
In his lane, which quite possibly is also "your" lap. Unbothered. Festooned with a necktie that accentuates his ears. Redmond could never.
No cheating. Your last saved picture of a celebrity is your therapist.
Yet again, Melville's descriptions & the oddly comic heroism granted Queequeg make me wonder how explicitly he might have been partial inspiration for Star Trek's "peculiar and dignified 'savage' who lives among 'us'" character Worf. 🐋🖖🏼
Post a perfect album* from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains. (Only about half is on Bandcamp, split across two ep-sized releases, presumably bc licensing? - battletrax.bandcamp.com/album/indust... - battletrax.bandcamp.com/album/indust... ) *for its genre
If you see this, we IMPLORE YOU to post a picture from whatever device you're using without explanation.
