I'm a music nerd and a die hard Buffalo sports fan but right now I'm mostly just angry and heartbroken about our country.
#TicketStubWed It's been a year since we lost Ozzy so in his honor, here are my 2 stubs from his shows in Rochester, NY from 81 and 82. 🎶
#TicketStubWed 2 July 15th shows. Doobie Brothers with Carl Wilson opening in 81 and The Moody Blues with Til Tuesday opening in 86. 🎶🎶
#TicketStubWed Clapton at FLPAC, this week in 85. I'm pretty sure Graham Parker and the Rumour were the openers. 🎶
#TicketStubWed Yes in May of 84 at the Rochester War Memorial, brought to you by Sparkomatic. 3rd row floor seats for $12.50. 🎶
#TicketStubWed It seems fitting to pick a Rush show this week since they're back on tour and it just so happens we saw them on this date in 2015. Can I still get a real paper ticket for $50 if they come to Buffalo on this tour? 🎶
#TicketStubWed Asia at the Auditorium Theater in Rochester, May of 82. They came back in 83 and played the War Memorial but this show was better. 🎶
#TicketStubWed Back in 67, when UB was called the Berkeley of the East, The Fugs played an infamous show in Clark Gym. They kids even rioted that year. In 87, The Fugs came back for a 20th anniversary show. No one rioted but it was pretty cool to see Ed and Tuli rocking out. 🎶
#TicketStubWed On this day in 80, teenage me couldn't get enough of this Van Halen show on the Women and Children First Tour. Wayyy too much fun. 🎶🔥
#TicketStubWed 2 concerts for me on this date and they could not possibly have been more different. Ozzy in 81 and John Renbourn in 00. 🎶 🎶
#TicketStubWed In honor of the great Dave Mason, who we just lost. This was an acoustic show in 84 with just him and Jim Krueger. Caught him again in 88 with his full band. So many fantastic songs! 🎶
#TicketStubWed 3 April 15th shows for me, including my first Dead show in 83 at the Rochester War Memorial. 🎶🎶🎶
Come with me to the Winged Isle 🎶 Released on this day in 78 and it sounds as great as ever.
#TicketStubWed I've always felt lucky to have seen this Pentangle reunion in 92. 3/5ths of them, at least. Back when UB still had a Folk Fest every year. What were the odds they'd come to Buffalo, of all places, on their short tour? A young Ani Difranco opened. Great night! 🎶
#TicketStubWed this was a WCMF birthday concert with Rochester band Backseat Sally opening for the mighty Kinks, on this day in 83 at the Rochester War Memorial. Fantastic show! 🎶
#TicketStubWed Triumph on the Never Surrender tour with Foghat, at the Rochester War Memorial in 83. I can still smell the flash pots, among other things. 🎶
#TicketStubWed Queen with Paul Rodgers 20 years ago, yesterday. On paper, it seems like a questionable decision to have the great Rodgers singing those songs but it was a fantastic show. 🎶
#TicketStubWed I'm not sure why The Hip played such an intimate venue when they could have played the hockey arena here, but I'm glad they did. To be that close up made it extra special, even for one their shows, which were always phenomenal. 🎶🔥
#TicketStubWed 12 years ago, today. Bob Weir and Ratdog at Shea's. The printed ticket era. 🎶
#TicketStubWed George Carlin with Leon Redbone, on this day in 83 at the Auditorium Theater in Rochester. 🎭 🎶
