How am I just learning that Lamb of God ended up listed as a band performing at...a Christian holiday concert last December?
This, though, is a win. It’s nowhere near as good as the elusive jalapeño flavor but someday I’m gonna have it smeared on a sandwich for a proper tasting.
I would worry about us as a society but those concerns were depleted during The Great Pancake.
The hummingbird eggs in my parents’ tree have not hatched yet. The mirror image is slightly out of focus because we don’t want to linger to get a better photo. There are multiple hummingbird nests in their front yard but this is the only one we can reach.
I got asked to read my Art Is Love manifesto at this event tomorrow night at Issaquah's Historic Train Depot. I miss when Rogue had a brewhouse a couple of blocks away because a hazelnut brown ale would be the perfect bevvie to have in hand while doing this.
A very nice rock I spotted on a WA beach, just sparkling and shining like nobody’s business in the morning sun. It’s small enough to close my fingers around when it’s in my palm. I like this rock so much I might name it.
In contract with the very analog artwork by Mary Ann Peters I discussed in my previous thread, the same exhibit (Haunted at Tacoma Art Museum) included Traces, a digital portrait installation by Cam Smith.
Woke up thinking about this 9x12ft artwork made of compressed flour. It's by Mary Ann Peters and it was part of the Haunted exhibit at Tacoma Art Museum earlier this year. Impossible Monument (on my eyes and my head)
The two most reactive ones are the neon and the magenta fire because they contain quantum dots. What does that mean? They fluoresce but in an extra horny way. That’s not on the technical data sheet but it should be.
These softball-sized clickers look like alien objects already but this one goes full alien disco when under a black light!
One of the mystery items in the @romancingthevote.com auction is a gigante clicker ball chosen at random, which means you’ll be up with one of these delightful softball-sized fidget toys! www.32auctions.com/organization...
I caught a little bit of the aurora last night east of Seattle. I went back out a few minutes later and it was already gone.
If you want even more neon, this giant clicker ball in the @romancingthevote.com auction has 4 colors that fluoresce under black light because of quantum dots! www.32auctions.com/organization...
A secret about the Buy It Now gigante clicker balls I made for @romancingthevote.com is that this is what the magenta fire one looks like under a black light! www.32auctions.com/organization...

I didn’t want to make a painting or a collage. I used the bag my mystery supplies came in (paper napkins, olive oil and cigar labels) to make a book. I used the canvas as a work surface, then cut it out of stretcher frame to fashion a book cover.
All soft new leaves on the enormous schefflera I drastically trimmed back to just woody stems because a scale infestation had gotten out of hand. Been checking (and cleaning) the new growth weekly and I think this plant baby is gonna thrive.
The feed is heavy so for a tiny respite here are the three fresh new leaves that have grown from a fiddle-leaf fig I found abandoned on a country road.
The collage I completed for the 15th annual Postal Collage Project is available for auction. This is an analog collaboration project that takes place in groups of 5 via postal mail. It is very much not AI! Finished size is 11x14 inches. Auction ends 5/31 at 5pm. givebutter.com/c/postal-col...
It’s “random clump of baby spiders” time of year. I enjoy spotting these around outside and checking in on their launch progress.
A photo of El Noche showing off his log rolling skills.
Art breaking is happening. Next time I throw a party I’m inviting artists and asking them to bring work they are tired of so we can have an art destruction party. Why? Attachment is The Source of feeling stuck as an artist.
Artists at art walks, artists at home, artists on Instagram.
Paying the dog tax so that my skeets aren’t just grumpy today. Buckaroo has this bear in three sizes (the largest isn’t in the pic) and the ears have been chewed off of all of them.
This pup is my travel buddy, my camping buddy, and when he’s having the best time everyone else is, too. Unless he is rolling in goose poop. He is the only one who thinks that’s a good time.
Ann Hamilton’s The Common Sense, an enormous installation at The Henry at U of Wa in Seattle in late 2014-15. There were these immense walls of grouped images that were scans of preserved animals borrowed from The Burke Museum.
The last visual sample of artwork from the mail art zine Circulaire 132 is this abstract piece from a Minneapolis-based artist who sends me the most thoughtful notes (thank you, Ben).
