Fun evening watching the solar eclipse in Vienna! Yes, as expected we couldn't see the maximum occlusion due to the Vienna Woods blocking the view, but it was still great to watch!
Things are looking good for Europe. One benefit of the current dry and hot weather system 😅
Had an absolutely amazing birthday in Innsbruck and up in the mountains there. I'm such a fan of cable cars for making mountains accessible for everyone. Today I did a small hike to Mandlspitze!
Did not do the whole loop because of lack of water and time 😅 but what I saw and did was plenty satisfying! I saw several chamois and my first mountain rescue of a climber off a via ferrata.
I usually wake up at 5 am in the morning during the summer, then it crept to 4:45 and this morning it was 4:30?? Luckily I fell back asleep around 6:30. That was too little sleep for me! Got to see the pre-sunrise glow though!
Amazing day on vacation but on Saturday I walked 17k steps and today I did the same again! (These steps include over a 1000 stair-steps!) My knees are begging for a break. Totally worth the views tho!

I wrote 300 words of my thesis today, a new daily record for me! Plus the weather is so beautiful right now. Mid-70s with sunshine!
It's 3.11 anniversary day. Can't believe it's 15 years later. I still remember when I moved to Gunma in 2015, it was heavily discussed because of the strong impact it had on so many lives. Did my usual yahoo jp search, where they donate 10 yen for every search made to recovery efforts.
But it was stunningly beautiful!! I squeezed in a quick xc ski before heading to work and it was bliss.

oh no, my mom just texted that Padme had a seizure 😭 she's my most precious baby and had a health scare already about a year ago where she almost died
my friends came together and we had an amazing Thanksgiving yesterday. my heart is so full.
The Cradle animatic was so good!! What an amazing project to back. There's nothing better than seeing a book series come to life in a new way as a great adaptation. I loved the music & VAs. It made me also really appreciate how much work goes into drawing an animation with all the different frames!
There was such a strong aurora last night! It peaked at close to 5 am here. Unfortunately Vienna was fully cloudy so I had to look at the webcam from the nearby mountains.
This year I was Rumi from Kpop Demon Hunters for Halloween! I had a lot of fun putting this together and got lucky with my officemate being able to do a Dutch braid!
-1 C (31 F) in München this morning 🥶 Wore all the layers out for breakfast with my dirndl but at least it's okay in the sun (not pictured the scarf and down jacket lol). Fantastic croissant at an Italian cafe!
