Photos are all mine. 🧡 Portland 🧡 Books, bikes, photos, dogs, donuts, but that's not my whole personality. I don't fix typos. I'm careless that way. Resist! Persist! Insist!
Currently reading, picked it up yesterday at Books and Bottles. Great YA novel. Enjoying the story and learning a lot about the people and culture where the action takes place.
And this morning. Photo thru window, hence the flares.
File under: get the dimensions before you book the "cozy" treehouse air bnb. Anyway, hope you like your birthday get-away @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social !!
I've been rewriting songs since I was a kid and learned to do it from reading Mad Magazine. Sure, Weird Al inherited the throne, but it all started with Mad.
(Sung to the tune of "Pretty Woman") 🎶 Little mousy, playing in the yard, little mousy, oh you go so hard, little mousy - why do you only play at night? Are you afraid of the daylight? Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na (grrrrr) mousy!
1,000 Acres was perfect this morning with cool, overcast skies and lots of good dogs. @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social first time there.
Riverside Park, Smackanass, Oregon. With the always entertaining @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social
I told him, we have mice! Not mouse, mice. He replied: I have named all the current mice: Gargantua, Thunderer, Stoneface, and Jermain. I surrender.
I read about the union welder traveling gigs in a book, Thick Skin, by Hilary Peach. It was a great book. Learning about the work and life was fascinating, and I even took a welding class after. Tell your son to stay safe and watch the puddle!
3 parents and 2 kids in the front yard (a thruple, oh Portland!) - and the cacophony!! Feed your kids already!
My advice is buy a new one. I tried to wind it back up after over-extending and it tried to kill me.
Tiny visitor to our garden fountain. @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social told me this would happen! Squee!
Relaxed, in my lane, all the things after blocking "first lady" for the next 30 days.
@jeffvandermeer.bsky.social Jeff's flower. An Easter Lily Cactus, in bloom.
Re-reading this great look at destructive, high conflict, us and them scenarios. Amanda Ripley is one of those insightful, clear thinkers I enjoy following.
