My mom and dad filled out and dropped off the state election ballots last weekend. My dad said to me while my mom was filling hers out, Usually we just vote all Republican (me: vomit) which is right at the top, but your mother seems to not be voting like me. She's got some bee in her bonnet.
We had a nice surprise recently. A box of special Red Phone Box hardcovers was discovered. You'd think we would have one, but when we had to leave London, I accidentally packed only one copy and it was one of the mass printed ones. I'd forgotten how beautiful they are.
Last night the cats tried to post in the r/askculinary forum. I think they might be tired of the foods I'm giving them. I am planning to start making some of their food from scratch. I guess I should hurry up.
I just made pistachio white chocolate protein bars. I made them with vegan protein powder. We'll see if they're any good. Also had to sub for the ricotta. I used hummus. Works well. I should've waited to cut them until they were set, but I wanted you to have a pic. (T's allergic to dairy now.)
Thena found these in a drawer. Six postcards we had made in 2013 from photos taken by David Southwell. Some magic still left in them, apparently, as they appeared out of nowhere.Four of them here.

One nice thing here in summer is that there are areas to sit that are purposefully made shady. Here's a tree one near our place but there are others with shades made of sailcloth between buildings.
