An old corrugated iron shed without sides, has its angled roof shadowed in sunset light. Beneath the roof in deep shadow are glimpses of old machinery from another era. On the roof, facing towards the ground, surprisingly is a rusty red 1940's truck or ute. Young Eucalypt trees stand against each end of the shed, obscuring its ends. The foreground is bright long grass that is golden in the dying light.

The most wonderful things in life require less money and more willingness to just Go Out There and Notice.

Vocal Locals learned mental health with coaching + online modules. They shared personal experiences and wellbeing strategies through social media, local events, and innovative approaches like printing messages on eggs or a hat-wearing ram.

The Vocal Locals campaign in Loxton, South Australia (popn ~12K), addressed mental health in farming communities through a social network approach. After careful consideration of social networks + local credibility/perceived trustworthiness, 10 residents (8 farmers) became wellbeing champions.
