Thanks Google, super helpful. Sad part is this isn't even the "AI Overview", it's the regular old "quick info" thing that has been there for years. Doing the exact same search on .ca gives you the AI overview (which did get it right)... Before presenting the US date in the quick info box again
Fun to note that "the streets" in Ottawa looked like this when Giroux to Philly was "reported"
So, not mentioned in the post (and somewhat indirectly mentioned in the article) is that it is the AI company behind the "actor" that is making the movie, and they PLAN to have traditional tv/movie professionals involved This is 100% "fine, we'll do it ourselves (because nobody else will)"
I... Just... This has to be one of the first things that an actual human doing that job would think of checking... Right?
A little (a lot) late), but after 40. Having some issues where the colour is hitting the "cap" on the heatmaps.
And the heatmap (which is also misbehaving and doesn't like the Victoire logo)
This was surprisingly difficult to port over. I still have some alignment issues to sort out though, and getting better sharpness on the crease and faceoff circle lines. Also playing around with contours instead of a pure gradient, but almost definitely ditching the colour range from the NHL ones
I 🤬ING GOT THERE THOUGH (not looking forward to the heatmaps, though they might actually be pretty easy? Pretty please?)
One of my favourite pieces of work from this season, though I think I might need to adjust the size a bit because some of the lines are 1px tall by the end of the season making it really hard to follow at points. Also how did I not notice how similar the UTA and SEA colours are?
Switch to all situations, and overall it's pretty similar, except WOW were special teams ever dragging that xGF% down through December-ish and the SV% struggles were a bit more noticeable December through to March or so.
Year over year 10 game 5v5 rolling averages. xGF% and CF% have been "don't look back" since about the end of November, other than the recent dip (mostly thanks to 3 games) SV% got *DARK* for a bit there in the middle
Petition to have Bluesky just show this if you open it between 2 and 6 am local time. Bonus points if it plays the national anthem at those times if you have it open then.
Omfg The comments about looking for a "data-centric" head of hockey ops might be code for "will use LLMs"
