I have spent the past ten years trying to remember the name of the OPI nail polish I wore almost exclusively for 5-6 years, and Google has never helped. Tonight I remembered. Honeymoon Sweet. The perfect summer pedicure color that is no longer in production and I’ve yet to find an acceptable dupe.
I would be a really, REALLY good Stay At Home Lady. Chores yesterday, rot with crafts today. I am even planning on cooking dinner. Again. For the second night in a row. (I know! How do I do it?! No small children and a partner who takes care of himself. Oh, and some disposable income.)
The new baby Grizz looks like the actor who played young Mohammed AlFayed in that one episode of The Crown.
One of the best “I have to eat food with some nutritional value but I don’t really want to cook or eat” dinners.
Nice little Sunday morning reading quietly on the patio with a diet soda and total silence (well, except for the Chicago noises.) A little escape from daily life is good, even if I am going to be packing and cleaning and painting for the next 72 hours. 😅
Realized this morning that my Walmart+ membership gets you discounts at certain gas stations, so wanted to share with the group. Walmart is bad, etc, but also we are all just trying to exist in this unaffordable world as best we can. I got $0.10 off, making gas only (“only”) $3.46/gal.

Has anyone tried the Rothy’s fisherman sandals? I bought a pair of cream leather/chonky black sole fishermans that I LOVE but they do look a bit aggressive with some outfits, and the Rothy’s are intriguing. In red?! 😍
Doing S2’s laundry (it’s honestly a joy, I love having a tangible way to help her with all that she’s doing on her own), and I just pulled her baby blanket out of the pile to fold. 🥹 Circa 2006 Target, the Original Blankie was the pink/white/green version, it got lost one day at The Mall™️.
We spent the early afternoon with J’s mom, and then I started work on disco-ing one of our jewelry mannequins. (I’ve been wanting to do it forever, but it felt too daunting to start!) Also my girls got me this shirt and I love it. It kinda gives mean girl, but we only talk deserved shit, promise.
Best find of the day was absolutely this denim Lee jumpsuit from the thrift. $12! Fits like a glove! Will probably be too hot to wear it until November, BUT STILL!
I am at home today prepping for my sister to get here tomorrow, and Otis is trying a new daycare. I am watching him on our television. This is insane and I am really happy.
I got most of the plants in the ground yesterday afternoon. I had so much fun, and now I need to sleep for three days. My arms are jello, my hands do not close all the way, and I haven’t had my ADHD meds for a week. Monday is being real Monday-ish, but I can go home in 4.5 hours, praise be.
These frozen wings from Walmart are shockingly good? The lemon pepper is slightly sweet which I usually am not into, but the sweet with the sour and salty and peppery… it’s really good.

Couldn’t find the wreaths. I did, however, come across the foam knife set I’d bought months ago when I got the hankering to make front door hangers. So I made a couple peeps to tide me over a few weeks. They aren’t perfect by any means, and they will likely fly off the front door, but I love them!
This is a very good boy who went to the vet this morning because he’s seemed off for a couple weeks. Hiding under the bed, pawing at his ears, acting more strange than usual. I was sure he at least had an ear infection. Nope. He was prescribed Prozac and given a referral to a behaviorist.
I’m so glad I got to buy one of these shirts before they got taken down 😂
