While I normally prefer the Liberal Democrats in UK elections, they have not stood a candidate in the Clacton by-election. Savvy judgment by @eddavey.libdems.org.uk. In the absence of a @libdems.org.uk candidate, I would vote for Count Binface if I lived in Clacton.

Just finished Timothy Sandefur's 2025 article, “Originalism and the Illusions of Objectivity.” Over the course of 39 pages, he reveals the sleight of hand that Originalists have engaged in to hide the fact that it's a legal theory of conserving old restrictions on meaning when they suit their ends.
Power in the United States is capitalistic. Leftists don't generally wield that kind of power for all kinds of reasons, but it's going to take professionals who know how to do activist investing, targeted litigation, and organized boycotts to bring down MAGA. Lauder has to be lucky every time.
My kids have used bumble and bumble in the past, my wife sometimes buys Aveda, we can take both of those off of our shopping list to encourage Ronald Lauder to stop pushing Donald Trump to invade Greenland. QVC could be encouraged to stop carrying their products or doing targeted ads.
A different boycott effort could be brought against MAC Cosmetics. Chappell Roan could be pushed to explain why she's doing a collaboration that is making money for Ronald Lauder, the billionaire who encouraged Trump to invade Greenland. There are a lot of fronts to hit on and all at once. LFG.
One of the differences between Ronald Lauder and other MAGA supporters is that his wealth comes from brand-centric businesses. Each brand, like smashbox or Origins, is a separate target for a mass campaign to make it extremely uncool to use. Asking stores not to stock it anymore. This can work.
