Well! I’m watching fabulous Serse at the Barbican. Mid-opera, cello string snaps. Cellist calmly restrings it and carries on.
Just been to check if “cold rage” is in British Values. It doesn’t seem to be.
I have a friend’s cat staying for the weekend. He does not know who threw everything on the floor in the night.
We’ve lost a peregrine falcon. Last seen at Hammersmith Grove. Yes we know that’s impossible but it’s true. Keep your eyes peeled @stephencowan.bsky.social @fabperegrines.bsky.social
I do hope this won’t give the racists a coronary or anything #eidonthesquare
Wait til he gets to the polling station and finds that you can have an interpreter if you need one
The BBC is its own worst enemy. Or maybe they intend to troll. I complained about When It Hits The Fan endorsing a right wing trope. Their reply could not be more irrelevant.
Oh please go and see The Secret Agent. It’s a terrific film and so accurate on life in Brazil then. The clothes. The smoking indoors. All of it.
I took a lovely picture of a wood pigeon enjoying berries only this week. Very good subject imo
I’m reading Ed Husain’s The House of Islam. Basically we’ve learned nothing, for decades.
This is the hateful anti-Christian propaganda they’re being taught at the moment #wato

He should go get something to eat. That’s what Mrs Woodpecker is up to
@tommckinney.bsky.social oh don’t stop posting here Tom. Here’s the starlings at Steart Marshes yesterday to encourage you
I only recently noticed that Emily Wilding Davison lived in West Kensington. In Fairholme Road.
Traffic where I live has been terrible all weekend because the A4 Talgarth Road is closed for a crane. Many drivers are unaware of the Highway Code where it says you may not honk your horn in annoyance, only to warn of danger. They ARE in danger. From me.
Fabulous! Les Arts Florissants never disappoint (well except for The hip hop Fairy Queen) at the @wigmore-hall.org.uk
For the “London is a s*^%hole” brigade. Why yes, I have come to a world class concert for £18 at the @wigmore-hall.org.uk just half an hour from my house.
Strongly suggest you read @nicolakellywrites.bsky.social’s book Anywhere But Here before you start giving your opinion on what Kurds deserve @tomswarbrick.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk @lbcwatchuk.bsky.social
Microsoft says interpreters and translators are most at risk from AI. Yet Google translate makes egregious mistakes in every language I speak.
