I have not been to a Blazers game in at least twenty years and this email was not involved. I did go to the Moda Center for the first time in decades a few months back to see FKA twigs

I have been seeing stuff about a film fest "pfcat" on social media and it looked like might have cool films so I finally looked their films and nearly instantly saw a poster that looked AI. I thought maybe I wasn't being fair then I saw the Meta logo and wonder if it was a parody of tech slop. Nope!

Wtf is going on with Portland venues? Polaris Hall moved the merch out of the venue but then at least moved the entrance so people walked by it. Roseland moved it into Peter's Room and nobody because you leave out the back. Now I got an email from Wonder Ballroom saying merch's in the downstairs bar

In an email from August 1st, Dan Ryan seemed to tell his constituents that he cares about national issues, but that's ultimately not his job and he will only focus on local issues. So why is he sending an email about a shooting in a different state?

An early part of an email wherein Dan Ryan describes talking to Portlanders who tell him "I’m upset about losing our democracy nationally and I have deep sadness watching livability slip away locally. I want to have pride in Portland again. Please keep fighting for people like me!” Dan Ryan then goes on to explain that he is not like the rest of City Council. He will take action about what Portlanders care about: "While listening to the average hard-working Portlander, not the political industry operatives spending time in City Hall, I’m reminded that local government must align ACTION to address the daily reality Portlanders are facing."

Later, in the same email, where Dan Ryan states "I personally steam with anger about national issues. But I took an oath to serve Portland. We struggled under the last President, and we are now struggling again under the current one. My point is: We need to FOCUS on handling OUR problems, while supporting our federal delegation to handle the national issues.

As your Councilor, I will remain clear-eyed about what matters most: delivering core services to Portlanders. I will continue to push for responsible stewardship of our city’s resources."

I fear that the younger generations may already no longer remember that concerts aren't supposed to be a luxury. I constantly see people post about flying to shows and then they get upset they lost the cost of a hotel and plane ticket if a show is postponed

Someone posting on Reddit about a cancelled concert and their concert the concert they are attending may be cancelled "IM FUCKIN SICK. My concert is coming up and I'm so nervous. Spent $2000 on my tickets and $4800 on plane tickets and $1080 on hotel. I'm so sick rn. I feel horrible for everyone missing out tonight and pray she's better for mine omg. [...] Because we are surrounded by forest fires the plane tickets went from $600 round trip to $2400 for one person. Secondly call me crazy but I bought VIP for $900...THEN put seats opened up so yup now I'm in pit and Ticketmaster doesn't allow resales for my venue for the VIP. THEN I not only have to fly ONCE BUT TWICE because I'm at far up north, Toronto doesn't have a straight trip there. Then lastly because of the concert the hotels in Toronto are INSANELY EXPENSIVE.
