We have lived in the Kimberley for 12 years. It is beautiful, all of it. And wild, unspoiled, steeped in cultures, full of vibrant people. We are so exhausted from the constant battles to stop things like fracking, water extraction, mining of the Cambridge gulf etc. It’s a never ending onslaught ☹️

Oh I hear you. We are camping & Miss Dash keeps getting us up at 4:30 am. Grrrr. We feed her & she promptly goes back under the doona. Annoying little dog. It’s freezing in the Pilbara.

Ch7 does it all the time. Just got batteries installed. Median annual power bill in my town is $2,200. Mine is approx $500. Mostly line charge. We pay 29 cents per kWh & average less than 1 kWH per day. But please think of the billionaires. What are they going to do with their stranded assets 😉

Meanwhile look at what the WA State Labor party is doing to the pristine Kimberley environment. Sand mines everywhere. Likely to give a Texan Co permission to frack huge swathes of land. Just approved seabed mining off Wyndham in a world class estuary. Absolutely shameful!

Fully funded by Gina & the fossil fuel industry *sigh*. It’s such a ridiculous argument. I’ve had solar here since Oct 21. No battery yet. Average bill $165 per annum. Previously solar in Pth since 2010. Bills were even less. But hey, renewables are scary, unreliable etc.

Yes they turned it into a bloody two year war & a massive land grab. That’s what they do: grab a bit of land here, grab a bit of land there. Hope nobody notices. But under the cover of a genocide they went all out. Despicable people.
