Includes tribal relationships, prairie settlement and transformation into agriculture, rising and falling economics, more! 5⭐

A11. My all-time favorite is Harriet Tubman at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park in Maryland. Randomly showing up at the Alamo National Historic Landmark five minutes before Santa Ana's army arrived via a side street was right up there. #ParkChat

15) Five Little Indians by Michell Good. A powerful story of five children who endured childhood at a Canadian Indian School, their ensuing lifelong trauma, and struggles to courageously build their lives after leaving the school. Compassionately and beautufully written. 5⭐️

14) The Wild Dark: Finding the Night Sky in the Age of Light by Craig Childs. The author and a friend bicycle out of Las Vegas, experiencing a greater absence of artificial light each night of their journey. An interesting history of astronomy and how dark skies fit into our human psyche. 4⭐
