Found this super cute 80s PJ pattern and I’m tempted to make the middle one with a rayon/linen blend I have and chiffon but I’m worried the linen blend is too heavy
Uuuuuuugh. I’m glad I’m working on the hat in between because the coat is SO frustrating. I still have to attach the collar and do all the lining bits but close to halfway there. The hat is going well and is cute!

The pockets were a huge pain in my ass. I kept having so many issues. (Not the pattern just me.) accidentally ironed the insulation which immediately began to melt. Thankfully that’s inside and was just the cover layer so I can patch it. Please ignore the spots on the pink that’s just washable glue
Finished all the interfacing (I think?), break for lunch and a walk and then all the filler for warmth. That’s finally all the pieces! I’ll need to sew some parts to make sure the fluff doesn’t escape while I’m working but I think I can actually start working on it after that
Adding the interfacing and the pink fabric scared the shit out of me that I burned it. Turns out it was just being Extra about the steam
Uuuugh cutting out all the lining bits for the coat and hat took hoooours. Still have interfacing and interlining 🥲 and I have so much lining fabric left still.
Was feeling bad about myself today until I got a message asking how to do something. That something comes with instructions that are less than a page long and includes screenshots.
Wanted to at least sew the diagonal pieces and stay stitch and I don’t have time to iron and cut out the other stuff. The blue and purple front piece diagonal is off by not quite 1/8” while the others are perfect. (The one on the right in the first pic)
Have at least the outer fabric for the hat cut out and interfaced 😫 still have to cut out the lining, interface that, and then it’s ready to be put together.
Pattern properly cut out. Outer fabric cut out. Still need to cut the insulation pieces and the lining and all the parts to the matching hat. Because of course I’m making a matching hat
Watching Bridgerton with a friend and granted I tend to fixate on when dresses are pretty but my God am I fascinated with how they dress one character. I hate this dress. It’s amazing. More please. Something like this should be the *tamest* outfit at the Met Gala.
Final accidental plug pull count: 8 So far so good! Now to wash and dry the fabric. Also scrub the tub.
