It's a workday, so that means I'm back in the Velvet Glove trenches. All Velvet Glove, no play. I've re-outlined the entire book, so now I'm going in and expanding on sections/writing new stuff.
Back on my creativity bullshit, this time while pretending my house is a coffee shop.
I have a lot to share from the 2026 Play Make Learn Conference, but first, here I am playing a goat who needs to re-enact the movie Die Hard while crashing a party. Damn it, Hans!
I wrote a bit about being on Patreon for a year. Cute kitty tax included: www.patreon.com/posts/157634...
And these are the notes for which threats I thought would work for each character. I normally just do this in my head, so this is not something I’ve shown before.
Here are my notes from the Bluebeard’s Bride game last night. This is from character creation:
It’s a new month, with the Moon being the card I’m meditating on. I’m using the Blood Moon Tarot by Sam Guay.
Playing Mlem, trying to conquer space as a cat because there’s not much else I can do.
Second session just started of Mausritter. Kiddo requested and he’s very excited.
Today had me moving our comic collection in order to make room for some new furniture, and the empty space is tempting me to go shopping. Also, Vanilla Shake being helpful. You all know I got back into gaming through writing comics reviews, right?
Check out my latest post, Work Tools 2. I lay out all the digital and analog tools I use to design games. www.patreon.com/posts/139561...
I get to run my newest game, Escape from Prison Planet, next week and I’m so excited! It’s a PBtA game where you play criminals (?) stuck in a dungeon that never ends. You've never seen the world you're in, no sunlight, no surface, nothing. Just the prison, and everything that lives there.
