My aunt had one of these in sky blue. There was a theme to the era. ( And it was a terrible car to drive: massive blind spots all around, vague steering, and unassisted brakes on a surprisingly heavy car.)
My mother’s father. He was injured, losing partial vision in one eye after getting a spur in it after tripping over a tent line and falling into his friend, who was just ahead. He later tried to enlist into the Second World War, but his employer refused. He died in 1954 of a heart attack at 60.
