Happy #TrekThursdays from @thecomicon.bsky.social, where our celebration of 60 years of Star Trek continues. For the 23rd entry of this column highlighting best episodes, I talk about an episode that is almost 23 years old and one that is just a week old! comicon.com/2026/07/30/t...
Morning already off to a rough start with the heat & humidity sapping energy & creating a headache, but I push through and persevere! Why do I persist?
For one of the first times in almost four years of dating I got to make a full meal for my girlfriend. Cooking is part of my love language.
Star Wars Month at @thecomicon.bsky.social continues this week, where I flashed back to the past to discuss the fever dream films that began my Star Wars journey...that's right, the Ewoks TV movies! comicon.com/2026/05/12/s...
Had a great workout & taco date this morning. Hit up Dollar Tree for class project supplies. Went to two different out of my city comic shops on the way home for Free Comic Book Day/Comic Giveaway Day offerings while giving the shops some money by picking up a few issues.
'Neighborhood Watch' #1 is a truly gorgeous & perfectly executed debut issue that sets the tone for the whole series instantly. From @sarahgailey.bsky.social, @hainingart.bsky.social, @sharkberri.bsky.social, & @longtalljodie.com. Check out my full thoughts: comicon.com/2026/04/08/o...
Darth Maul is returning to the screen once more with the latest Disney+ series. I had some thoughts about Maul and what he represents when it comes to the whole of the Star Wars franchise at this moment in time. Check those thoughts out here! - comicon.com/2026/04/07/s...
Living up the "Take up space" portion of the affirmation at Panera today. As I get focused & work.
I've never been a regular reader of the Flash's solo series. Loving Wally West through other comics and mediums. The Flash #31 today has changed that.
Brought this book off Ebay the other day, after randomly finding out about it online and pitching a whole new Star Trek feature for @thecomicon.bsky.social . Super excited!
The weekend before last, I got a chance to step up to the plate and mound at the spring training music-themed Innings Festival. When's the almost middle aged MLB draft period? Check out how I did at the link below comicon.com/2026/03/02/i...
Kratos not looking hardened here. He's looking exhausted. Like he's been living 2026.
This past weekend I got the opportunity to return to Tempe, Arizona for the eighth annual Innings Festival. Baseball, music, food, and drinks filled my days. The first (of many) articles from my time at the fesitval is now live! comicon.com/2026/02/27/a...
Reality is an absolute mess right now. In trying to keep to the lighter side when possible, the second installment of "Trekking To Sixty," a weekly column celebrating Star Trek's 60th, is now live. A duo of timey whimey episodes! comicon.com/2026/02/26/t...
“Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.
As I'm about to play a Monk/Barbarian in my next campaign after just finishing playing a ranger...yeah this tracks.
It's a multiversal battle royale, TMNT-style in the first two issues of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes: Battle Nexus, which I've reviewed for @thecomicon.bsky.social #1 - tinyurl.com/dz837nzu #2 - tinyurl.com/4p8tmc5f
Of course their dumbass new pyramid is not only upside down but rife with meat. Of fucking course it is.
Sitting in my classroom, bleary eyed, downing coffee as I open my email to find this image from HR, reminding me that eight years ago I began this job that I thought I would do for six months tops. Now it's my chosen career path.
The first teaching program semester was rough, stressful, broke me a few times (one massive emotional breakdown) leading me to accept a Zoloft suggestion from my doctor & thankfully leap into therapy (I love it!). It was all worth it though. The final semester starts in 3 weeks...I got this!
A few days late, but it's time to read the comic that is the one that I read first every year:
