For reference: This was the first half of World of Xeen, aka Might and Magic 4 - Clouds of Xeen. Six floppy disks. Might and Magic 5, the other half of "World" was larger so would have been another 8 or 9 disks. Oh, the memories.

Surprised to discover that I've only been obsessively playing Might and Magic for a little over a week, based on when my conversation with @leonardeuler.bsky.social was. Now to figure out why killing these ogres is important for my office so I can still earn a paycheck.

The game Might and Magic, specifically "The World of Xeen" from 1993. Six colorful characters appear on the bottom of the screen while in the large main box arrows are being short towards the water. Two ogres stand to the right, wondering why I'm randomly shooting when they're not there yet.

My favorite thing on social media is the implication that trans women have laid claim to Warhammer 40k. I have to assume that someone going up against a Trans Tyranid army is either going to make them feel very welcome or realize they might want to adjust their outlook.

They say that you need to focus your activism so you don't get overwhelmed, and that's Trans Rights partially for personal reasons and mainly because everyone's rights are a reflection of how Trans people are treated. I am overjoyed to see that number is currently over $61,000.

I streamed for an hour last Wednesday skimming over the games in this set, and I'm trying to make Tiks, Toks, Youse, and Tubes out of it. And I pulled up the page out of curiosity. $32.5k and it's still available for another 20 days. And an average $10 donation!

Back home from #LexingtonComiAndToyConvention and I am so tired. But I wanted to support one indie TTRPG creator and here’s their support. This is @robertturk.bsky.social and Our Woodland Gods, a GMless cultist game, and Vale of the Failed and the Fallen, a #pbta game of failed chosen ones.

Well, I mentioned my kilt and my wife's eyes lit up with excitement and she pointed out how good that and my battle jacket would look together. She also wants to paint my nails, and I hope she has a green that matches my kilt. Anyway, I have "business" cards now. 😍

So: we have to take Evil Chekov alive because a) Chekov is immune to modern regenerative technology. b) Chekov is incapable of getting blood tranfusions from anyone but himself. c) Although any ship with Chekov on it must carry supplies of his blood, that didn't happen this time. (5/8)

We've got to be able to warp someone here from Earth..." says the HELMSMAN OF THE ENTERPRISE who doesn't know how warp works suddenly. "Chekov doesn't have that kinda time. Fortunately, and I'm not sure I'm even using that term correctly in this situation..." We pan to a scene of an Evil Chekov who looks absolutely nothing like Chekov because of an art style difference. "... there's someone a helluva lot closer who's a perfect genetic match for Chekov."

Actual Chekov gets shot with a Romulan disrupter, and has to be rushed to the Enterprise, at which point the bullshit begins. (To be fair, the actual bullshit is on the next page, this page is just insulting poor Chapel.) (4/8)

In brief: Alternate universe Uhura shows up, she's a freedom fighter against Alternate Universe Chekov. Evil Chekov has an Evil Superweapon and the Romulans have Evil Chekov. Freedom Fighter Uhura takes Kirk, Sulu, actual Chekov and actual Uhura into the Neutral Zone to get to him. (3/8)

Well, @theonyxpath.bsky.social has now gotten me in trouble. In First Edition Pugmire, the Barool was only described, and I put them in an encounter for my family game. I just picked up the second edition which has art for the Barool and my wife is angry that I made her kill something so cute.

Before the pandemic, I had a family #Pugmire game going. Then I moved to running games online and ended up with Pathfinder 2e. Maybe it's because I lost two Good Dogs but I'm missing Pugmire; if this becomes a SoloRPG for my channel or an actual campaign remains to be seen.

Two dachshunds - technically - sharing a clamshell bed. The one in the front is a miniature dachshund in a blue collar who seems very content. The one in the back is a standard dachshund who is not amused by this at all.
