Looking at a couple videos, two of the columns show rupture at the mid column. That suggests to me that they were subjected to significant flexural stresses well beyond the point of yielding. Either due to the eccentricity from the buckling or due to a moment transfered through the joints
Me trying to explain the history of all the times the MLAs elected as BC Cons got kicked out of caucus, quit, formed new parties, splintered those parties, had to sit as independents while awaiting trial and crossed the floor. And that all in the last 18 months!
So many of these arguments again enforcing social norms and etiquette, supposedly in defense of poor people, are far more parternalistic and classist towards poor people than the people they are supposedly defending the poor from. www.cbc.ca/news/enterta...

Looks like we were both a little off on that. Looks like it goes through the mountains connecting the ends of the fjords. Which is an interesting choice and not the easiest by any means.
Best I can figure it would look something like this. Following sea to sky out of Vancouver then up along the east side of the coast mountains, probably with a bunch of branches to the coastal communities. But there is just nothing up through there to anchor any of it.

This is why I take the public statements about private property being secure with a grain of salt. Talk is cheap, but when presented with actual legal offramps to exclude private property they aren't taken.
Extending military equipment service way past its design life to save some money because they were technically not a safety hazard, it's part of our heritage.
I went to Ueno Park which was nice, it was a good park. Caught a parade or some kind. It was a cool morning. And there was a rooftop park with a little lawnmower robot. I liked them, just didn't find them in a class above Canada.

Canada's main strategic challenges are downstream of it's population & economy being only 1/10 the size of its neighbour & primary trading partner. The gov's strategic imperative ought to have been doing everything to close the gap instead of spending decades distracted by petty domestic squabbles.
